I've always liked Tina Turner, even before I watched this movie. There was something about her music that was different, and it touched deep inside my soul. When I watched this movie, I had no idea what a terrible early life she led. The horrible abuse she suffered, both physical and mental would have been enough to drive anyone over the edge, but not Tina. She came back fighting, determined that she was going to be in control of her life, and it was when that moment occurred that she launched into an incredible career that took the world by storm. As I said at the start, I always like Tina Turner, after watching this movie I had more than a 'like' for her, I had tremendous admiration and respect.

Sadly, Tina died on the 24th of May 2023 leaving behind the memories and the music of a talented and inspiring woman. R.I.P. you will be remembered.
